Some Apple fans have been waiting outside of stores since late September for the newest iPhone release. Today they see their wish come true. The iPhone 4S goes on sale today.
The device is already on sale in the eastern sector of the globe, due to time zone differences and will become available in the US and Canada later today. The first person to snag the new device in London was a Danish man. Speaking to Luke Peters, of T3, the man could barely contain his excitement.
“I am so happy,” Jonas said. “I can’t wait to be home in bed, but not before playing with iPhone first.”
The iPhone 4S features the new iOS 5, as well as dual core A5 processors. The phone boasts over 200 new features, including an 8MP camera with retina display, 1080p HD video capabilities, and more. The 4S features Real Face for video conferencing and iMessage, an instant messaging program that allows messages to pass to other Apple devices with no limit on the number of messages.
Siri is another new feature for the iPhone. Siri is a voice controlled program that could be compared to a virtual assistant. Siri has the ability to mark appointments, give reminders, and answer questions.
