Black Sabbath Line-Up Together Again

Black Sabbath

After much rumor and speculation, it has been confirmed that Black Sabbath’s original line-up have come together again and are currently rehearsing.

According to one source, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward have been practicing in a rehearsal studio at a secret location. Is there are Black Sabbath reunion tour in the future?

Iommi told the Birmingham Mail yesterday that he and Ozzy have been working together since January to produce new Sabbath material.

“We’re really looking forward to it and I think that the stuff we’ve been writing is really good,” Iommi said.

Iommi also confirmed that keeping the reunion on the down-low has been an intentional, but difficult, effort. He noted that it has been the worst with Ozzy, who frequently appears on television.

It’s all been very hush-hush,” he said. “He [Ozzy] is doing a lot of TV and is being asked stuff about a reunion.”

Black Sabbath came together in 1969, but has changed numerous times since 1979 when Osbourne was fired from the band. Sabbath continued to gain a following that seemed to fizzle slowly as Osbourne began to rise to the top with his own solo recording and performance career.

The group has neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of a new album or upcoming tour.
