Coldplay have recently confirmed that they will touring Europe this winter, including several UK arena shows.

The group will be promoting their forthcoming album and are expected to play at least three UK shows. The UK leg of the tour launches on December 3 in Glasgow at the SECC followed by a December 4 show at the MEN Arena in Manchester. The band will take a few days away from the stage before playing a final show on December 9 at the O2 Arena in London.

Coldplay came together in 1996 while lead vocalist Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland were attending the University College in London. Their debut album, ‘Parachutes,’ was released in 2000 with the lead single, “Yellow,” taking them into worldwide success. ‘A Rush of Blood’ was the group’s second album. Released in 2002, it packed the hit song “Clocks,” which launched the group into super-stardom. Their third and fourth albums also featured very popular singles, including “Viva La Vida” and “Fix You.”

‘Mylo Xyloto’ is set to release in October, and according to Chris Martin, it is a concept album featuring a love story. The group released the album’s track listing on their website on September 9th. Two songs from the album have already been released as singles.

Coldplay will continue their tour of Europe with stops scheduled in France, Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands. The band is expected to wrap up their European tour shortly before Christmas.
