Evanescence

Evanescence has been well received in London and due to extreme popular demand, the group has announced that they have added a second London gig to their tour.

It’s been three years since the group released their sophmore album, “The Open Door,” and the band hit the studio in April tp begin recording their third album. The album was produced by famed producer Nick Raskulinecz and is set to release this fall.

This marks the band’s first UK tour since 2007 and they will be touring with The Pretty Reckless as well as Fair to Midland. The tour will kick off November 4 at the Hammerstein Apollo in London. There will be a show the following day as well. The group will then make a November 13 stop in Birmingham before heading out to tour the rest of Europe.

Evanescence first gained notoriety with the release of their debut album, “Fallen,” which featured original guitarist and co-songwriter Ben Moody. The album featured the top hit songs “Going Under, “My Immortal,” and “Bring Me to Life,” each of which has garnered much attention. The three songs have also been featured in numerous motion picture and television program soundtracks. “Fallen” won two Grammy awards.

“The Open Door” featured the popular song, “Call Me When You’re Sober.”

Lead singer, pianist, and songwriter Amy Lee has said: “We’re dying to come back to the UK and play the new music for our fans. Can’t wait!”
