Superstars Adele and Jessie J are storming ahead, taking the lead for the total number of Q award nominations. Each star has three nominations.
Adele and Jessie J are in a head to head battle for the Best Female Artist award. Adele is also up for two awards in the Best Track category, for her songs “Rolling In the Deep” and “Someone Like You.” Jessie J has been nominated for the Breakthrough Artist award and is also up for the Best Video award for her song, “Do It Like a Dude.” Popular act Arctic Monkeys have also received three award nominations.
Jessie will face some tough competition for the Best Video award. Others who have been nominated for the particular prize include Katy Perry with her hit “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” the Foo Fighters with “Walk,” Lady Gaga, and Ed Sheeran.
Arctic Monkeys have received nominations for Best Act in the World Today, Best Track for “Don’t Sit Down Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair,” and the Best Album awward for ‘Suck It And See.’ They have some big shoes to fill for the Best Act in the World Today award, as they are going head to head with acts such as Muse, Arcade Fire, and U2.
