“Switchblade Smiles” performers Kasabian have unleashed their latest single upon their anticipating fans. The song, “Days Are Forgotten,” has been released onto the Internet for preview.

“Days Are Forgotten” is the second single from the album “Velociraptor!”, following behind the well received “Switchblade Smiles.” The video for “Switchblade Smiles” debuted earlier this summer. “Velociraptor!” is the band’s fourth studio album and their first in two years.

Although the album is not set to release until September 19, Kasabian have been hard at work to appease the interest of their fans by debuting many of the album’s singles prematurely. The band even previewed a number of their newest songs last night atht the iTunes Festival in London.

The group came together in 1999 but did not release their debut album until September 2004. At least two songs from the album have been featured in very popular sports-related video games. Kasabian’s second album saw some success but also brought around a change in the band’s lineup, as guitarist Chris Karloff left the group. Their third album did not reach the same success as Kasabian’s debut and sophore albums , however, due to a lack of commercial promotion for the album.

Some of the group’s new material is available for preview on the Kasabian website. The song “Switchblade Smiles” is available as a digital download for those who pre-order the “Velociraptor!” album.
