Kasabian has revealed the stage set plans for their upcoming UK tour.
The tour kicks off November 28th at Brighton Center and will feature the band performing in a stage set that has been designed to appear as an orange. Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan recently took a moment to explain the set, saying that it was designed by Serge and Aitor Throup, who designed the artwork for the group’s latest album, as well as a lighting technician named Nick. Meighan shared his excitement about the idea with The Daily Star.
“It’s going to look great,” he said. “The idea that the stage will react to fans will be cool. It’s never been done.”
Meighan also expressed that while making the album itself was “easy,” that the hard part was yet to come with one to two years of touring to follow.
Kasabian’s tour will feature 13 concert dates in the UK, including a highly anticipated New Year’s Eve gig in London at the 02 Arena. The venue has a capacity to accommodate up to 20,000 eager fans. The group’s New Year’s Eve will be topped off with Chase and Status supporting the group for the evening, as well as a special DJ set from Zane Lowe of Radio 1.
