Kasabian Unveil New Video “Switchblade Smiles” for New Single

Kasabian

Kasabian has released the music video for their latest single “Switchblade Smiles.”

The video was directed by Aitor Throup and features a black and white color scheme. The video and song have both been released ahead of the album that they are linked to, “Velociraptor!,” which is not due to drop until mid-September. The video features the four band members dressed in black performing against a white background.

Kasabian was formed in 1999 and their debut album was released in 2004. Several songs from the group’s debut album were featured in popular video games for the Xbox and Playstation 2. The band lineup has only changed once since its formation when bassist Christopher Karloff was asked to leave the band.

The band teamed up with Dan the Automator in late 2010 to begin work on “Velociraptor!” “Switchblade Smiles” debuted on Zane Lowe’s radio show in June. It was during that show that the band confirmed the album release and that they would be touring this year.

The group also debuted the song “Velociraptor” when they performed at the Leeds 02 Academy in June.
