© www.newsquod.comJust a week after unveiling the first still frame image from the forthcoming music video for her song “Marry the Night,” Lady Gaga announced that she would be debuting the new music video a bit ahead of schedule.
The single still image featured a raven-haired Gaga, upon a hospital gurney, being wheeled down what appears to be a narrow hallway at a very high-class hospital. The video teaser opens with that still image and a monologue by the singer as she continues to be wheeled down the hallway to her destination.
“Clinical psychology tells us arguably that trauma is the ultimate killer. Memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics,” the voice over says. “They can be lost forever.”
The monologue begins with the two nurses entering the hallway with the singer in tow. The Lady Gaga in the video does not feature the singer as her fans now, but instead reveals the character as a very pale and seemingly fragile woman who, with her orange lipstick, is a patient in a psychological hospital.
The voice over continues by saying that without memories, current reality can appear as a painting, with the main character of the video being an artist free to paint the picture as beautiful as she likes.
“It’s not that I’ve been dishonest, it’s just that I loathe reality,” the monologue continues to say.
The full video for “Marry the Night” was filmed in Gaga’s beloved New York and is scheduled for a November 21st release.
