Former Oasis lead guitarist Noe Gallagher has released his debut single, “The Death of You and Me.” The song, along with its accompanying music video have made their official world premiere and can be viewed online.
The song is a single from the upcoming album ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.” Gallagher is the former lead guitarist and background vocalist for Britpop group, Oasis, which he helped form with his brother, Liam. The two became known for their constant rivalry, which almost led to the group’s break up on several occasions. He exited the group after a fight with Liam in August 2009.
The remaining members of Oasis continued to perform, changing the group’s name to Beady Eye and refuse to perform any Oasis songs within the public view.
“The Death of You and Me” is set to release on August 21 as a digital bundle, CD, and 7″. The single will feature a B-side track entitled “The Good Rebel.” The full album is scheduled to release on September 37 and was produced by Dave Sardy.
Noel Gallagher will kick off on tour in October, opening up in Dublin. He has confirmed that a second album, a collaboration with Amorphous Androgynous, is set to begin recording in 2012.
