Noel Gallagher has recently announced the acts that will be supporting his band’s upcoming tour.
Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds are set to take the road later this year in the UK. Both Electric Soft Parade as well as Murray James and Folks will be lending their support as the High Flying Birds embark on their first tour. The six-date UK leg of the tour kicks off October 23 in Dublin and will conclude on october 31 at the Roundhouse in London.
The original three tour dates sold out in less than six minutes and three more gigs were eventually crammed into the group’s tightly packed performance calender.
The High Flying Birds self-titled debut album doesn’t hit store shelves until next month, but the albums first single “The Death of You and Me” was released last month, along with the B-side track “The Good Rebel.”
Gallagher had been part of the Britpop group Oasis, along with his brother Liam, until a continued sibling rivalry chiseled away at Gallagher. After a final argument, Noel Gallagher departed the band. Oasis reformed and now perform as Beady Eye, refusing to play Oasis songs.
According to media reports, the two brothers have only recently reconciled with each other.
‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ becomes available on October 17.
