Singer-songwriter Noel Gallagher has announced that he will be making his rounds about the UK, starting in late October, to support the recent release of a self-titled album from his High Flying Birds project.
Originally a member of Britpop group Oasis, he spent much of his time feuding with his brother and bandmate, Liam Gallagher. The constant rivalry had taken a toll upon the band as a whole and after an argument with Liam last year, Noel subsequently exited the group.
While Liam Gallagher reinvented Oasis into the band Beady Eye, Noel worked on several collaborative project and began to focus equally on songwriting. Beady Eye has since cut all ties with their Oasis days, even refusing to play Oasis songs in publicly. Gallagher announced at a press conference in early July that he had recently spent some time in the studio working on the High Flying Birds project. He has made very few public appearances since parting ways with Oasis, but did perform at a charity event for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The preview of a video for the single “The Death of You and Me” was released in July and the full album will not drop until October.
