Alternative Funk/Punk Rock giants will be touring the United Kingdom and Ireland this November, with tickets going on sale July twenty ninth at 9 PM. The California based quartet are currently gearing up for the release of their tenth studio album, ‘I’m With You’. The new album, set for worldwide release in August twenty ninth, already has one single released, ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’, which was released July eighteenth.
The ten date leg of their world tour, which officially starts in Bogota, Colombia on September eleventh, will kick off in Dublin, Ireland on November fourth, ending in Birmingham, England on November twentieth. The band members have stated that the entire tour will last through 2013. One highlight of the UK leg of the tour will be the bands’ three day residency at London’s O2 Arena, taking place November seventh, ninth, and tenth. A full list of dates also includes stops in Glasgow and Sheffield, as well as a two night engagement at the Manchester Evening News Arena on November fourteenth and fifteenth.
This marks the first tour with new RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, John Frusciante having left the band to pursue a solo career in 2009. The and will be supported for the duration of the tour by the world music influenced indie act Fool’s Gold.
