Robbie Williams: Take That Will End in Tears

Take That

Pop group Take That came together for a reunion tour earlier this year with Robbie Williams in tow. Williams has said that he believes that the group’s “Progress” tour will end in tears.

During a recent interview with the BBC, Williams opened up about the emotional level that the reunion had upon himself and the group as a whole.

”It’s weird because it’s the last show, there’s the five of us and we don’t know what’s happening afterward,” Williams said.

Williams joined Take That as the youngest member in 1990. The group enjoyed a successful career but Williams’ drug and alcohol abuse took their toll on the group when he almost overdosed shortly before a prestigious music awards ceremony. The group went on hiatus shortly after.

It was then that Williams began to explore the options of a solo career and soon completed several solo albums. The most well-known songs from those albums include “Millennium” and “Angels.” His next solo album will include songwriting collaborations with fellow Take That member Gary Barlow.

“There’s going to be over-sentimentality from me, and tears, and it’s just a weird, weird feeling that this whole trip is coming to an end,” Williams told the BBC.

Take That is currently in Europe as part of the “Progress” tour.
