Rolling Stones member Ronnie Wood has launched his own television series.
‘The Ronnie Wood Show’ is said to be a continuation of a previous project, the ‘Absolute Radio Show’ which received several awards and nominations throughout the year. ‘The Ronnie Wood Show’ is scheduled to launch on Sky Arts next February. It is anticipated that Wood will feature many high profile artists and music industry figures as guests on the show.
“I’ve had so much fun doing my radio show and had lots of success with recent awards,” Wood said. “It’s now going to TV to give the audience the chance to see behind the scenes.”
Wood has been part of several major music endeavors besides The Stones that include working with The Birds, The Faces, and The Jeff Beck Group. Wood has also released several solo albums. In addition, Wood is a renowned artist and has made appearances in several television shows.
Sky Arts has also granted another opportunity for a new series, this one to Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley. The show is expected to feature two segments. The first segment of the show will be a discussion forum for recording artists, producers, and others within the music industry. The latter part of Whiley’s show is believed to feature live musical performances.
