The group, who broke into worldwide and mainstream success with their hit songs “Run” and later “Chasing Cars,” will be taking to the road to support their latest album release, ‘Fallen Empires.’ The new album is the sixth studio release for the Dundee-originated group and is a follow-up to their 2008 album, ‘A Hundred Million Miles.’

The UK leg of Snow Patrol’s tour will consist of 10 shows, kicking off on January 27th at the SECC in Glasgow. The brief jaunt will come to an end on February 10th after the group completes their set at the O2 Arena in London. The group Everything Everything will be offering support through the trip.

‘Fallen Empires’ is said to be, by band member Gary Lightbody, the group’s longest and best album to date. The release, which drops November 14th, has spun two singles, “Call Out in the Dark” and “This Isn’t Everything You Are.” Snow Patrol began in 1994, forming at the University of Dundee in Scotland before eventually relocating to Glasgow. They received their first major recording contract with Polydor Records in 2002.

Tickets for Snow Patrol’s 2012 arena tour went on sale Friday, November 11 at 9 a.m.
