©PRPhotos.comAfter previous speculation that former Pussycat Doll frontwoman and current ‘X Factor’ judge Nicole Scherzinger would be tying the knot with boyfriend Louis Hamilton, it was announced earlier this week that the couple has split.
Scherzinger has spent a great deal of time in Los Angeles to work for the show while Hamilton’s career as a Formula 1 racer has had him trekking across the globe and insane scheduling is the reason that has been cited as the cause of the break-up.
Welsh presenter Steve Jones has been quick to swoop in and offer a comforting shoulder, according to The Daily Mirror. A source recently told the newspaper that the two have recently spent time together outside of the studio, as Jones is able to make the heartbroken judge laugh and smile.
“She’s shed so many tears,” the source said, speaking of Scherzinger. “He really listens to her and makes her laugh. There is an unmistakable chemistry there.”
Jones may be hopeful, even eager, to turn their budding friendship into a blossoming romance, but it seems that the former Pussycat Doll’s desire at the moment is to remain friends and recover from her recent heartbreak.
Hamilton and Scherzinger had been dating for more than four years before splitting.
