Jennifer Lawrence looks fierce in the next series of photos from the highly anticipated film The Hunger Games. Also appearing quite the part is Josh Hutcherson in the latest stills from Lionsgate.
The Hunger Games doesn’t hit theaters until March 23 of next year, yet it would be hard to find a film with more anticipation and news — almost arriving every day.
Based on the phenomenally successful book series by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games follows its hero, Katniss (Lawrence) as she participates in the titular fight-to-the-death games broadcast to a nation under authoritarian rule.
Some fans of the series scoffed when it was announced that Hutcherson got the part of Peeta, but judging by the first photos, including the one below, the kid has seriously channeled the part and should quiet any critics of the casting.
The Hunger Games is directed by Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, Pleasantville) and could not come soon enough for fans to the local movie house.
